VIHASA Facilitators Reunion 2019


Two days VIHASA Facilitators Reunion was held on November 30 and December 1, 2019, at Om Niwas BK Centre, Ghatkopar, Mumbai. Program was attended by over 30 VIHASA facilitators from across the country.

Day One started with Ice Breaker by Dr. Manoj Matnani. Information and objectives about VIHASA reunion and retreat was explained by Dr. Ashok Mehta. The highlights of Reunion was diving into facilitation skills using ORID and using Fish Bowl method with close circle, which was very informative session conducted by Mr. Yateen Gharat, an IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator –CPF, M B T I certified trainer, N L P Master Practitioner and Advanced LIFE COACH (ANLP-UK) Performance Enhancement coach (Symbiosis -USA) CCA-Accredited (IAF /ICF Member.).

Very impactful session – Resilience Module was conducted by Prabha Sharma and BK Sunaina of Delhi. After that another session – “Graphic Facilitation” was conducted by Kosha of Mumbai. She explained on how to include graphics and simple icons as tools for visual record conversation and facilitation. Day one closer ceremony was conducted with candle lights walk meditation by BK Dr. Hina of Mumbai.

Second day of VIHASA Facilitator’s Reunion started with recap by Dr. Manoj Matnani, he also briefed about the 3 key principals of VIHASA. There was another interesting session on overcoming the challenges in Implementing VIHASA in which Prabha Sharma and Dr. Preeti brief on Prerequisites for effective facilitation and self-care for facilitators along with Dr. Sachin Parab. VIHASA closure was done with Meditation by BK Deepa.

"Challenges in conducting VIHASA" topic which was discussed in detail and many solutions came up. There will be 3-4 minutes video put up on website as to what is VIHASA and its benefits so sisters or facilitators can use it when they approach any Hospital for program. There will be standard plan to conduct VIHASA for 2 hours/4hours session. The plans are already displayed on VIHASA website under the Program.

Dr Ashok Mehta proposed "Second Edition of 'My India Healthy India'" whereby VIHASA will be conducted across the country in medical Colleges/Hospitals/IMA of different states. There will be four or five car rallies starting from different parts of the country, such as Mumbai - Abu - Guwahati - Chennai - Bhubaneswar and finally ending in Delhi. This requires fine tuning.
